What is the Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) and how do you get it?
ESA is a state program that helps Arizona families pay for educational expenses, like tutoring. If your child is in grades K-12 and lives in Arizona, you likely qualify!
To apply, visit the Arizona Department of Education’s ESA Applicant Portal.
Once you’re approved, you’ll manage your ESA funds through ClassWallet, the state’s online system for making education-related payments.
Apply as soon as you can. It usually takes 3 to 5 weeks from submitting your application to receiving funds in your ClassWallet account.
Is my family eligible to receive ESA funds?
Yes, if your child is a K-12 student and a resident of Arizona, they’re eligible to receive ESA funding.
Some students may also qualify for additional funding based on specific needs or circumstances.
Who are the tutors?
All of our tutors are certified classroom teachers. They’re experienced, patient, and know how to make learning stick.
When are sessions available?
We offer flexible scheduling to fit your family’s routine. Whether after school, on weekends, or during breaks, we’ll work with you to find the best time.
What if my child has special learning needs?
Many of our teachers are certified in Special Education or EL. Whether your child has an IEP, learning differences, or speaks a different language at home, we’ve got the right support for them.
How do I pay?
We are a DirectPay vendor through ClassWallet.
After signing up with TbT, please upload your invoice to ClassWallet by:
- Logging into your ClassWallet account
- Navigating to “Pay Vendor”
- Searching for Tutored by Teachers
- Uploading your invoice
Once funds are received (typically within 2-3 business days), your tutoring will be scheduled.
