We’re Honored to Be Named to the 2025 GSV 150!
We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been included in the 2025 GSV 150! This annual list highlights the top 150 private companies transforming digital learning and workforce skills, and we’re incredibly honored to be recognized among this remarkable group of innovators.
The GSV 150 celebrates companies that are making a real impact in education and workforce development. To determine the honorees, GSV evaluated over 2,500 global companies based on five key factors: revenue scale, revenue growth, user reach, geographic diversification, and margin profile. This year’s cohort collectively reaches over 3 billion learners and generates more than $25 billion in annual revenue. Being part of this list reaffirms the importance of our work and our mission.
At our core, TbT exists to close the opportunity gap. We do this by providing students with personalized virtual instruction delivered by highly qualified and diverse teachers. As our Co-Founder Shaan Akbar puts it, “Being named to the GSV 150 is a testament to the incredible work of our Teacher-Tutors and the school leaders who partner with us to reimagine what’s possible in education. We’re honored to be recognized alongside so many trailblazing companies.”
Making an Impact, One Student at a Time
When we reflect on what brought us to this moment, the numbers speak volumes. In 2024 alone, we worked with 322 schools across 20 states, serving nearly 30,000 students. To date, our dedicated Teacher-Tutors delivered over 700,000 hours of high-dosage tutoring, and we’ve paid more than $20 million to our community of 6,600 educators. These milestones are more than numbers—they represent lives changed, futures brightened, and barriers broken.
We’re deeply grateful to the educators and school leaders who partner with us and share our vision for equitable, impactful education. Their collaboration fuels our ability to help students not only succeed academically but also build the confidence and skills they need to thrive.
