United Schools of Indianapolis (United Indy) partnered with Tutored by Teachers to launch Summer Academy, providing Math and ELA support to prevent summer learning loss.
Because of the program’s success, the partnership extended into the school year—expanding tutoring support and delivering impressive results.
Students who received tutoring saw significant growth on the Fall-to-Spring Math NWEA MAP compared to their non-tutored peers.

Our Partnership
Since 2022, United Schools of Indianapolis (USI) has partnered with Tutored by Teachers (TbT) to provide tutoring support for its middle school students.
To help close learning gaps caused by the pandemic and prepare students for the upcoming school year, USI implemented a Summer Academy in 2022 and 2023 with the support of TbT.
The program offered targeted ELA and math instruction to strengthen foundational skills and boost confidence for the new school year.
Students who participated in Summer Academy received 40 hours of high-dosage tutoring over 4 weeks.

TbT’s Summer Academy helps students bridge learning gaps and build a strong foundation for the year ahead. Our dynamic four- or five-week programs in Math and English Language Arts provide rigorous, engaging instruction designed to boost confidence and achievement.
